Dear Parents,

We have seen the weather changing at school this week. It’s been a lovely start to Spring. It is a timely reminder that the weather is still cool in the mornings and children may require a jumper. A reminder that children should have a navy blue broad brim hat everyday for break time and activities outside of the classroom.

This week we have celebrated SAS recognition week. Our school admin and support staff are amazing people who are highly valued and very much appreciated members of our school staff. We know our school couldn’t function without the work and dedication of all of our SAS staff.  This week is an excellent opportunity to show our SAS staff that they are appreciated for the important role they play within our school whether they work in the office, the library, in the school grounds, in a classroom setting or in other roles. I am sure you will join with us in thanking our wonderful SASS team for their important contributions at our school.

On Monday we were well represented by our Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 Dance Troupes as well as our Kindergarten children at the Bathurst Eisteddfod. All groups performed in different sections of the Dance syllabus. We performed wonderfully and obtained some outstanding results which were;

Kindergarten – 2nd place

Stage 1 Dance – 3rd place

Stage 2 Dance – 2nd place

Stage Dance – 2nd Place

Congratulations to all of our children. You were simply sensational! A special thank you to Mrs McClements and Mrs Weekes for their work with our Dance Troupes and Mrs McClements and Mrs McPhee for their work preparing our Kindergarten children. Thank you to the many staff that attended the Eisteddfod on Monday to support our children – Mrs McClements, Mrs Weekes, Mrs McPhee, Mrs Mooney, Mrs Goninan, Mrs Murphy, Mrs Francis, Mrs Guihot, Mrs Calder and Mrs Cafe.

Congratulations and well done to our school Cricket Team and Mr Thackray on a successful season. We played our final game of the NSW PSSA Cricket knockout against Orange PS and were defeated by an outstanding team. A super big well done to our team on their efforts this year.

Well done to our entire school community who raised $430.00 on Redtember Day on Tuesday. This money will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Great work Bathurst Public.

Jersey Day is a truly meaningful event for our school, as we also take time to remember our dear sweet friend, Cathy Kassis, two years since her passing.
