I emailed this to my parents last night....
'As another term of learning comes to a close it is time to honour and celebrate the wonderful work all your children have done this term. Listening to them read, watching them spell and write, it has been a truly humbling experience for me and for Palwasha. And the past few days watching them learning in the pool only makes more concrete the special nature of this group of kids ~ keen, intelligent, enthusiastic, such yearning for learning'.
The pool has been a lot of fun...watching them improve in such a short time is amazing to see. The people at the NARC (Northcote Aquatic Recreation Centre) were fantastic with the kids, patient, kind and instructive.
Here are some photos.
A big thankyou and shout out to all the parents who came along and helped out. To Tatiana, Eve, Rolla, Annie, Kara, Isabelle and Nick, thanks so much as it made our job so much easier. Really appreciated it!
Year 1
SWIMMING! How lucky were we to have some swimming lessons at the new Northcote Aquatic centre. The children were so excited to go on the bus with their friends. It was so lovely seeing everyone swimming and learning how to stay safe in the water.
Year 2/3
Dear Families,
We have had a LONNNNNNNG week of swimming. A lot of the children had FUN! But this afternoon we all got really tired so they had a little nap. Enjoy the school holidays with your wonderful children and families.
Year 3/4
Literacy
Students have been absorbed in our new novel 'The Wild Robot'.
As part of developing an understanding of the story, students were able to listen to the story being read to them and to visualise what was happening. The following drawings were created by the students to illustrate how they envisioned the setting to be.
Year 4/5 and Year 5/6
After a term of great learning, the 4/5's and 5/6's today celebrated with an end of term movie and some popcorn!
To continue with the celebratory theme, everyone enjoyed participating or watching a students vs staff netball game. And what a fantastic game it was!
Congratulations on a wonderful term Senior students!
