Congratulations Division Athletics Team
A big well done to our 36 athletes who took part in last week’s Division Athletics. It was a big event with over 50 schools in attendance. Although it was busy with lots happening, it was great to see the independence and maturity our students showed in knowing their events and getting themselves ready in time to compete. We certainly were a force to be reckoned with in all our events and the students should be super proud with how they partici[ated. What a great bunch!
Thank you to Amaya and Mr O for taking the team. Thank you to Michelle, Shona, Kelly, Brooke and the bunch of other adults who came along on the day to help organise and support our team.
A special well done to the eleven students who have made it through to Regionals in October.
Congratulations afterschool netballers
Congratulations to our Grade 5/6 Netball Team who finished up their term’s netball last Tuesday in their final. After a terrific match the team unfortunately lost by one goal but so much fun was had throughout the term and many memories made. A big thank you to Carley for coaching the team and Sam for training them. Thank you also to all the families who made transport arrangements and supported the team during the term.
Good luck to our Grade 3/4 team who will play their last match tonight. Congratulations to all of these players on a terrific term. Some of these players were taking the court for the first time and so much learning and improvement happened. Thank you to Jess for training and coaching the team. Without our amazing adult supporters who are willing to give up their time, our students would not be able to enjoy these opportunities.
Term 3 Sports Wrap
And that brings a wrap to our term in Sport. It has been terrific to see the number of students taking part in the extra-curricular opportunities in the sporting sector and even better to see the way that our students and families represent our school at these events. Whilst we are always strong competitors at these events, what makes us proudest is our high level of sportspersonship. This is a reputation that is known strongly in our schools’ community. Thank you to everyone who took part and, very importantly, the people who generously gave up their time and effort to support our teams in attending. We are so lucky to have you all.
Next term will see us take part in Regional Athletics, Division Tennis (Hot Shots), State Bowls, Division (maybe Regional) Cricket and the P-2 Sports Day. Our sporting opportunities continue….
What to bring to P.E.
Just a reminder for all students to bring with them their P.E. shoes, drink bottle (and hats in Term 1+4) to their P.E. classes. A different pair of sports shoes need to be brought to P.E. as per the uniform policy. This allows us to keep safe, look after our gym and make the most of our lessons together. Thanks to everyone who continues to remember these.
