Year 1/2M-Learning Stars

What a very busy term it’s been in 1/2M!

We have been involved in lots of special days and activities through all units of work. During Literacy, we finished some amazing experiments in Push and Pull and Forces around us.

During Maths, we have learned the connection between multiplication and division, and how these also relate to repeated addition and subtraction. We used tools such as diagrams, numberlines, and bar graph to show our learning. We also have learned to skip count by 2's, 5's, and 10's to count in equal amounts. Some of the students also know how to skip count in 3's, 4's and 6's. This will help us with our timetables when we are ready.

During Religion, we have learned about the apostles and friends of Jesus. We are learning to be disciples of Jesus, by taking action to show kindness, compassion and love to members of our community. We visited John Hannah House and spent time with some of the most interesting older people, where we sang and danced for them and also played games together.
