I know you will warmly welcome Sarah into the SJV community!!
Thank you to all our Learning Support Officers!! This week is National LSO/ Teacher Aide Appreciation Week. We are blessed to have so many caring LSO's making a difference to students and families!

MACS - Survey
In 2025, our school is participating in Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). MACSSIS is an annual process whereby schools listen to the thoughts and feelings that students, families and staff have about how their school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.
One of the main goals of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school.
The Survey will be sent home to each family tomorrow / THURSDAY.

Leo from 3/4MK won an Empathy award for the considerate and patient way you treat people.
Lisa from 3/4LK won a Gratitude Award or making others smile with your joyful heart.

Sharing Food Reminder
We kindly remind families that students are not to share food at school. While we understand that sharing can be a generous and friendly gesture, it can also pose serious risks to children with food allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary restrictions.
Birthday treats for other members of the class cannot be food related.
Social Media
We encourage all parents to take a moment to read the 'Social Media Age Restrictions' page in this newsletter, which includes vital information about the upcoming changes to the law. This is a significant step aimed at protecting young people from online harms. By staying informed, we can work together to support our children's safety and wellbeing online. Please continue to monitor your child's online use.
Social Justice -Fair for Fairness Day
If you have any old clean socks or old t-shirts, string and plastic bags to donate the Mini Vinnies are going to make Sockoballs with the classes on September 12th.
