College Weights Room

The College has recently made a significant investment in upgrading the Weights Room, and we are pleased that students can now make full use of the space once again. As a school, we recognise the importance of physical activity in supporting both physical health and emotional wellbeing.

The upgrades include:

  • A new cable/smith machine multi Trainer
  • A new treadmill
  • A full set of dumbbells
  • A full set of kettlebells
  • A bench press

Students wishing to use the Weights Room are required to:

  • Have signed parental permission
  • Complete an induction with staff
  • Maintain Good Standing

We ask that all students respect the rules and take care of the equipment. By looking after the space, we can continue to invest in further upgrades and new equipment, rather than having to cover costly repairs.

A big thank you to Mr Williams for his assistance with the upgrade.

Year 12 Celebrations

Next Wednesday, 24 September, marks the final day in class for our Year 12 students. To celebrate, we have organised a range of fun activities for their last two periods, including a slippery slide, volleyball, music, table tennis, dodgeball, and an ice-cream van. Year 12 students are asked to wear their sports uniform on the day, and after afternoon tea, they will be able to change into an outfit of their choice.

We remind our Year 12 students that while the finish line is near, there are still some assessment tasks to be completed. It’s important not to switch off too early and to remain focused through to the end.

Year 12 Student Councillors 2026

This week, I called for nominations for our 2026 Year 12 Student Councillors and am pleased to share that we have received a total of nine nominations. Each nominee spoke to the Year 11 cohort and staff about their intentions for the role and why they believe they are deserving of the position. Best of luck to all nominees—successful candidates will be announced early in Term 4.

I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the excellent work of our outgoing Year 11 and 12 Councillors. They have been a fantastic group to work with and have made a positive difference to the College this year.

Wishing you all a great weekend.
