On Monday the 18th August to Friday the 22nd August, we celebrated and acknowledged Book Week at Greenvale Primary School. Throughout the week, Year 4 students and teachers participated in many Literacy activities both in the classroom and at lunchtime involving speaking, listening, READING, and writing. We even visited the Story Box Hub and Andy Griffiths online at the State Library of Victoria. Thank you to Miss Debbie for her suggestion.
On Friday the Year 4’s came to school dressed up as their favourite book or character from the story. We even witnessed the arrival of our Dinosaurs for the upcoming Writer’s Festival. It was wonderful to see the all the students, teachers and families enjoying themselves in the winter sunshine together. A big thank you to Mr. Scollo, Mrs. O’Halloran, Mr. Cardona, and the English SAT for making this a week full of fun.
On Friday the 22nd August our Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students participated in the District Athletics Carnival at Epping. We were so proud of each student’s commitment to train, participate and share their achievements with their friends, family, and teachers throughout the day. We would like to thank Mr. J for all his time and effort in supporting us with our training, organisational meetings and leadership of this event at this event.
Congratulations to all the Year 4 students who participated and were successful in making it to the next round which is the Division Athletics on Tuesday the 16th September. Wishing our Year 4’s the best of luck!
