This term, our Grade 3 and 4 students have been exploring the rich tradition of Dreamtime stories. We have been reading a range of texts that share the cultural significance, lessons, and creativity within these stories. Students have looked closely at the traditional features, such as the use of animals, natural landmarks, and explanations of how things came to be. Using these ideas as inspiration, they have been drafting and publishing their own Dreamtime stories. It has been wonderful to see their imaginations come to life as they combine respect for traditional storytelling with their own original ideas.
