Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,
As we reach the end of another busy term at Swan Hill North Primary School, it’s a perfect time to pause and celebrate the many achievements of our students. This term has been packed with events, activities, and opportunities for our students to shine—and at every turn, they’ve shown what it truly means to live our school values.
Whether in the classroom or out on the sports excursion, respect has been at the heart of everything our students do.
A few standout moments this term has been our students participation in the district athletics and our Year 6 students who attended the Melbourne camp.
It was wonderful at both events to see so many of our students giving their best, encouraging each other, and representing our school with pride.
Across the term, we’ve seen students helping each other in the playground, listening carefully in class, and showing respect to both classmates and staff.
These small, everyday moments add up to something special: a culture where everyone feels valued and included. This have been replicated in our Attitude to School survey which Year 4 -6 students complete each year.
As a staff we’re proud of what our students have achieved this term.
Year 2 Sleepover and Year 6 Camp
Well done to all of our students who attended camp this term. The teachers were very proud. A huge thank you to our staff who take time away from their own families to attend these events.
New Gate on Murlong Street
We have installed a brand-new gate at the end of the BER building on Murlong Street. This gate will be open all day, making it the main entrance and exit for drop-offs and pickups. To keep everyone safe, all other gates around the school will be locked during the day. Our office team will be monitoring the Murlong Street gate to ensure our child safe practices.
Portable
3/4K and 3.4W have moved into their new classroom and they look amazing! What a great space for our students to learn in each day.
Hats
Students will need to wear their school hat during Term 4. Hats can be purchased at the office.
Parking
Please be aware that Police and Swan Hill Rural City Council have been monitoring parking on Murlong Street before and after school due to the ongoing building works.
Please ensure bus bays are kept clear before and after school.
We kindly ask all families to please use the designated school crossing on Murlong Street to ensure everyone’s safety. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community safe.
2026 Enrolments
We are really excited to be accepting so many enrolments for 2026.
If you know of any families who would like a tour of the school, please encourage them to contact the office.
Uniform
Please ensure students are in full school uniform. It is important that students have a school jumper on and not a casual jumper. We have spare jumpers at the office if students need them.
Students will be asked to take beanies and coats off inside so they can stay warm outside.
Duty of Care
Families are reminded that teachers are on duty before school from 8.30am-8.50am and after school from 3.20pm until 3.30pm. Children should not be unattended in the school grounds before or after these times. Thank you for your support and co-operation with this.
Over the holidays we are looking forward to seeing the next stage of our works happening with some of the classrooms in the admin building starting to be demolished. It is such an exciting time for our school.
We hope you all have a restful break, and we look forward to another term of learning, growing, and living out our values together.
Kind Regards
Brea
