Grade Prep/1

We can’t believe there are only two weeks left of the term!
In Reading, we have been enjoying the story Wombat Stew. The children loved hearing how the dingo was outsmarted by the other animals, and their favourite part has been singing the catchy “Wombat stew, wombat stew, chewy, gooey, yummy, brewy, wombat stew!”
In Maths, we have been learning about sharing items fairly between people, while in Humanities we have been exploring families and celebrating how each one is special and unique.
Swimming week at HILAC was another highlight of the term. The students had lots of fun in the water, learnt many new skills, and particularly enjoyed directing the bus driver and playing “Spotto” on the way!
A reminder that Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up on Wednesday 17th September. I am looking forward to meeting with everyone and giving students the chance to share the work they are most proud of.
