Acting Principal's Message

Only a few more weeks to go until school holidays. We have entered Spring, hopefully that will bring us all some sunshine!

Thank you to all the parents who have participated in SSGs (student support groups) so far. There are still a few to go. Please reach out to the school if you have not been contacted yet and need these to be scheduled. However, the school is in the process of reaching out for those who have not yet had these scheduled. If you attend or have attended an SSG recently, you do not have to schedule a Parent Teacher Conference unless you really wish to. We would love to see you however, we are aware of everyone's busy schedules. If you have any questions about this or parent teacher conferences, please reach out to your classroom teacher.

School swimming lessons have wound up this week. We had the senior group (3-6), followed by (prep-2). I was able to get up to the pool to watch some of the junior swimming group and was very happy to see all of our students showing our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience on display. Swimming groups were small and students were able to get a lot of feedback/ instruction.

We have Hoop time approaching which will be our next exciting physical activity, along with a number of classes going on an excursion to see a play at the PAC. This will be the 2/3/4 and 4/5 class groups to watch Aladdin, performed by Good Shepard College.

A reminder if you have a student in grade 6, please reach out to the school to inform where you are intending to send your child next year to high school as some students will require additional support to transition into high school.

Also a reminder that if your child rides their bikes or scooters to school, they are required to wear a helmet. We have also had some reports of challenges when crossing Ballarat Highway, please ensure your children have adequate supervision to do this. We have had a few reports from concerned community members and take this quite seriously. Please ensure our students are safe at all times when crossing the road.
