EDUCATION MASS AND MISSION EXPO
This week, our College community was honoured to take part in the annual Catholic Education Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta. The Mass brought together students, staff and leaders from across our Diocese to celebrate the gift of Catholic education and to give thanks for the many ways our schools are places of faith, learning and service. As well as this, we participated in the launch of “Uplift’ the new strategy for teaching and learning that will form, inform and transform our learners and learning communities.
Gathered in the beautiful setting of our Cathedral, we were reminded that our mission is grounded in the Gospel and inspired by the life of Jesus. The homily called us to be people of hope and courage, committed to nurturing the dignity of every person and caring for the world around us. It is the work of the heart , the hands and the head that will enable our communities to grow in their faith formation.
Our College representatives took part with reverence and pride, joining their peers in the Mass and later held a stall displaying the work of our entire college community who followed in Caroline’s footsteps with their social justice action. Moments like these highlight the strength of our wider Catholic community and affirm the important role we play at Caroline Chisholm College in forming young women of faith, courage and tolerance.
We return from this celebration encouraged to continue our work with renewed spirit, inspired by the message that Catholic education is a gift that transforms lives and strengthens our communities.
HSC VISUAL ARTS AND MUSIC HSC SHOWCASE
This week the HSC Visual Arts and Music Showcase allowed our HSC students to display their outstanding major projects in Visual Arts before they are marked by external HSC markers. As well as this our HSC music students were encouraged to perform for their family and friends in preparation for their HSC markers next week. The standard of work this year has been exceptional and we can confidently expect exceptional HSC results in their practical components.
My personal thanks and gratitude to the entire Creative Arts team for your amazing team work supporting our HSC students to achieve their best possible results.. Special acknowledgement to Mrs Belinda Pranjic, Creative Arts Leader of Learning and HSC Visual Arts teacher, and Mr Richard Caws HSC Music teacher for your dedication and commitment to excellence in Creative Arts through persistence and high expectations. Congratulations to the students and staff for empowering our Chisholm girls to exceed expectations once again!
FINAL NOTE
Our continued prayers for all those who are unwell in our community at this time. May God’s healing power be ever present and bring the strength and courage needed to heal.
May God bless you and keep you safe in the palm of his hand.
