Sports Update

Our students from Prep to Year 6 have been hitting it out of the park during their recent tennis unit, participating in the exciting Futures Tennis program! It's been fantastic to see everyone enthusiastically developing their tennis skills, from mastering the forehand and backhand, to perfecting their serves.
Beyond the technical aspects of the game, our students have also been learning valuable life skills. Teamwork has been a key focus, with students collaborating in drills and games, cheering each other on, and learning the importance of fair play.
Tennis is a fantastic sport for developing a wide range of movement and physical activity skills. Students have been improving their:
* Hand-eye coordination: Tracking and hitting the ball requires precision and focus.
* Agility and speed: Moving quickly around the court to reach the ball.
* Balance and coordination: Maintaining stability during swings and volleys.
*Gross motor skills: Developing large muscle movements for running, jumping, and striking.
I'm incredibly proud of the effort and enthusiasm shown by all our students. It's been a smashing success!
Next term we look forward to HOLT Cross Country for Years 3-6, Interschool Football and Netball competitions for Year 6 and the Soccer Lightning Premiership for Years 5-6.
Have a happy and safe holiday break.
Thanks,
