Student Voice Leaders

New Student Leadership Positions: Student Voice Leaders announced!

At Truganina P-9 College, we strive every day to develop exceptional young leaders, in a variety of fields. The college's student leadership framework, developed in 2024, continues to guide this development across all areas of the school. We believe that leadership is a set of behaviours and mindsets that can be fostered, learned and developed by all young people and that leadership can take many different forms.

As part of the expanding student leadership team, 2025 has seen the introduction of a new formal leadership position: Student Voice Leader. This exciting new role for students in Years 5-9 is unlike any seen before at the college or in many other schools. We are thrilled to announce the following students as the 2025 Student Voice Leaders:

  • Year 5:  Dalicia Kaur
  • Year 6: Ryan Kumar
  • Year 7:  Muhammad Bilal Mohson
  • Year 8: Tabisha Kisombola
  • Year 9:  Gladness Baseka

In line with the importance of student voice and agency in the College's new strategic plan, these leaders will now become full members of the Student Voice, Agency and Leadership School Improvement Team (SIT), led by assistant principal James Bayard. They will take on the responsibility of helping us to achieve our improvement goals and data targets, working directly with Mr Bayard, portfolio leaders Kelsey Vo and Alicia Pettinella and the wider teaching team for the rest of the year. They will be the connection between the student body and the College's Leadership Team as we implement our new strategic plan.

We congratulate them on their achievement and what they will accomplish in this exciting new position.
