Senior School Report

Term 1 Highlights

Our return to school in 2025 for Term One has seen the Year 10 cohort very busy with students settling into a new sub-school, Senior School – where they will remain until graduation at the end of 2027.

The rigour and demands of senior classes have set the tone for our cohort as many of our Year 10 students are studying a Unit 1 and 2 subject this year.

Students in our cohort have already attended several excursions over the last nine weeks, including visits to KIOSC, the Holocaust Museum and the Formula 1 Grand Prix. In addition to these, students in Year 10 are beginning to prepare for their upcoming work experience, which will take place in the last week of Term Two.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all students a restful Easter and we look forward to seeing them return in Term Two.

Ms Su-nhi Kim

Year 10 Coordinator

Our Year 11 students have had an excellent start to the year, adjusting well to managing their new workload and beginning their Unit 1 studies.

Outside the classroom, they have also been engaged in various learning activities that range from understanding the impact of culture and time on art at the National Gallery of Victoria to KIOSC excursions, which allowed them to study thermodynamics in-house design and DNA manipulation techniques in biology.

Our VM students also went out of the school to Knox City for a valuable financial math lesson in a real-world setting.

A huge thank you goes out to all the Year 11 students who helped on our Open Day by leading tours or assisting in various subject areas. Your efforts really made a difference. Excellent work, and we hope to see you in Term two.

Miss Veronica Kenneally

Year 11 Coordinator

Our Year 11 and 12 Vocational Major (VM) students completed their First Aid certification, facilitated by presenters from EduClick.

This program provides our students with practical, hands-on knowledge of First Aid and empowers them to respond effectively to accidents, illnesses and emergencies. The students represented the college with pride and were commended by the facilitators.

As a result of the experience, they have gained important life skills that they can take with them into their futures.
