Assistant Principal Report

A Dynamic Term
Term 1 has been dynamic, packed with educational experiences and a wealth of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. We welcomed our Year 7 students along with several new faces in various year levels. Camps were a standout experience this term, with Year 7 students enjoying Camp Rumbug and Year 12 attending a residential camp at The University of Melbourne.
For our VCE students, the school holidays are an ideal time to discuss the Student, Parent, and Teacher Learning Conferences recently held with your child. What were the highlights? Are there aspects that could be enhanced? What revision should be engaged in over these holidays, and importantly, which of the revision strategies Ms Sandhu shared should be followed? To ensure success, what objectives can we establish for Term 2 and the rest of the year?
End of Term Assembly
Our end-of-term assembly, organised by our student leadership team, took place on Thursday 3 April, showcasing their exceptional leadership and organisational abilities.
The assembly featured a captivating interview with Ms Sivanesan, conducted by Anna Harper, one of our school captains. Known as Ms Shanza to her students, she passionately shared her commitment to education and dedication to helping all students achieve their full potential.
We were then treated to a delightful musical performance by Ms. Shanza, sharing some of her Sri Lankan culture and playing the Veena.
Junior School Shade Sail
Work on installing a large shade sail over the part of the Junior school courtyard has now been completed. This will offer some additional shade to our students as they battle it out on the downball courts!
End of Term 1
I hope you all have a relaxing holiday break and an enjoyable Easter period. We will see the students back on Tuesday 22 April.
