We are very excited to share that school photos have finally arrived and will be sent home with students at the end of the day tomorrow, Friday 2nd May.
If your child/children had any sports or special photos done, please send an email to Kim who will then provide you with the link and code required to order.
Mother's Day Stall
Good Shepherd Lutheran School’s Mothers’ Day stall is fast approaching. Our team is very excited to host this next week (week 2).
Please remember to send along small notes/coins - up to $10 for a gift for your child’s special someone - next Mon/Tues in a named bag for the teacher to store. Classes will visit either on Wednesday or Thursday next week.
We are very much looking forward to hosting the Mother’s Day Stall at Good Shepherd. It is such an exciting time for our children as they get to purchase some gifts for their Mum.

Scholastic Book Club
Scholastic Book Club Issue 3 catalogues have been sent home with students this week.
Scholastic apps are available to download for both Apple and Android devices to make ordering through the Loop system easier.
There is the option to mark your purchases as GIFTS. When these books arrive, you will be contacted directly, rather than books going home with students.
Please also note that some titles offered, differ from the Christian ethos followed by the school.
As cash orders are not accepted by the school, orders will need to be placed via LOOP by Thursday 8th May 2025.

ICAS Online Competitions

Dear Stage 3 & 4 Parents/Caregivers,
Each year at Good Shepherd Lutheran School Para Vista, we offer an opportunity for our students to participate in the ICAS Online Competitions. These are academic competitions that give students the chance to test their higher order thinking and problem-solving skills in Digital Technologies, Maths, Science and Writing. These competitions will take place in August this year.
Participation is optional. This is an opportunity for students who wish to challenge and extend themselves.
If your child is interested in this opportunity, or if you have further questions, please get in touch with me via email (jared.grierson@gspv.sa.edu.au) or come see me in person. You can find me in the office near the library.

Volunteer Training
We have many volunteer opportunities within our school for those interested in contributing to our vibrant community at Good Shepherd Lutheran School Para Vista, and your involvement is crucial in creating a nurturing environment for our students.
Our next Volunteer Training session is:
- Tuesday 20th May @ 3.15pm
- Thursday 22nd May @ 8.45am
There has been an update to the training and any new volunteers from July 2024 onwards will now need to complete the RRHAN-EC online course.

Dads and Kids Camping Weekend - Register Now
Join us May 23-25 near Williamstown for quality time, fun, and connection with your children and other dads/significant male role models enjoying 'back to basics' fun including a Saturday packed with activities.
All current GSPV students and their significant male are welcome! Join the fun that over 300 people experienced last year – don't miss out!
