Welcome Back

What a privilege it is to welcome our students and families back to school after a break that included celebration of our Lord and Saviour's death and resurrection.

May this term bring much learning and joy for the children and families.  This term we celebrate Mother's Day and Men 'n' Minors - thank you to the team of parent volunteers that are making these events happen.

Farewell Mr Brett Humphrys

Brett served as Deputy Principal as an important part of our school leadership team since the start of 2020.  He also served the community for a period of time as Principal.

We will be officially farewelling Brett at worship on Wednesday 7th May, this will be followed by a morning tea.  Please take this opportunity to come and celebrate Brett and his input to our community.

Changes

You have likely noticed a few changes around the school.  Most notably a missing tree! This along with the strange markings around the Middle Primary playground and the preparatory steps for the new play spaces.  The equipment has now been ordered and we wait with anticipation to how these spaces will take shape.  As we move closer to the instillation date we will share the plans and more accurate dates of works.

You may have also noticed new bus signs at the bus stop on Montague Road.  It has been great to have these installed so that all road users are able to see the space that needs to be left for a bus to safely park.  Please ensure that you are obeying these signs.

Uniform Policy

Please take the time to read of our Uniform Information regarding the change of season.

While we no longer have a 'winter' or 'summer' uniform, the way that the children wear the school uniform is important.  Please remember that you can order specific items of uniform from the QKR! app.

New Pastor for Good Shepherd Congregation

Pastor Michael Dutschke will be joining our Good Shepherd Community from the middle of the year.  This is exciting news for us all.  Pastor Michael will be working with the congregation and will spend some time with our school community sharing the good news of Jesus in many ways.

Vale Mrs Ruth Oster

Mrs Ruth Oster was a member of school staff from 1983 - 1989, she worked both as a classroom teacher, but worked as the Librarian for the majority of her time her at Good Shepherd.  I would like to acknowledge her work at Good Shepherd and also across the Lutheran School System during her lifetime.  It was a significant contribution as teacher and principal at different sites.

2024 Annual Report

Each year we are required to share with the wider community information about our school.  You can find our annual report on the school website if you are interested please take a look.

Blessings to you all for a wonderful term.
