CLEVER CLASS
This week in Prep Bluegum, we have been busy learning about the significance of Easter and the events of Holy Week, with a special focus on Palm Sunday. Our classroom has been buzzing with excitement as we explore the story behind these important celebrations.
In particular, we've been focusing on Palm Sunday, the day when Jesus entered Jerusalem, and the crowds greeted him by waving palm branches and shouting "Hosanna!" To help us better understand the story and its meaning, we have been practicing the song "Sing Hosanna," which we will be performing at the upcoming Holy Week liturgy.
To bring the story to life in a creative way, our class has also been making collaged palm leaves. Students have been using a variety of materials to create their own palm branches, just like the ones the people waved for Jesus. It's been a fun and hands-on way to reflect on the themes of joy, celebration, and reverence that Palm Sunday represents.
As we continue to learn about the events of Holy Week, including the Last Supper, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, we connect the story of Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection with their own lives.
