Journeying Together in Christ
We are all aware of World events. The death of Pope Francis and the announcement of Pope Leo. We pray for the soul of Pope Francis and his family. His last days were with his people. Quite amazing when we look back. We pray for Pope Leo. Bless him and give him strength.
Although the three days at the beginning of the school term were invested in the Science of Learning, I keep coming back to RELATIONSHIPS.
Positive relationships create opportunities. At our recent Open Days I shared many great aspects about St Lukes, as did the Year 6 students as they took families on a tour. BUT, no matter what we put in place we need to build relationships and talk to each other. The digital world is not needed for this. Don't get me wrong, devices assist us in many ways but we need to develop skills in communication.
In future newsletters we will share tips and insights into how you can try things at home. It may mean an information session at 3:30pm (pick up time) regarding an aspect of maths for example.
Please subscribe to out Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd podcasts if you want to hear what we are doing as a staff. The learning is exciting and your child's education F-12 is about to take off.
In the Education Matters podcast Jared Cooney Horvath shares his two most important learnings.
Flick to the Learning Enhancement page for a more in-depth look to the SCIENCE OF LEARNING.
MOTHERS' DAY STALL
The Mothers' Day stall is always a hit with our students and this year was no exception. Thanks to those from the Community Group who assisted with organising behind the scenes and for volunteering on the day so students could surprise their mum's on their special day.

These were held on 2nd and 8th May. They were well attended. I thank the parents who welcomed families and provided morning tea. Our Year 6 students took our families on a tour and again did a fabulous job. Thanks to the Community Group for serving coffee to visiting families. If existing families have someone starting school in 2026, please ask the office staff for an application pack.
