Junior Soccer - Campaspe Competition

Year 7 Girls

The Year 7 Girls Soccer Team put in an outstanding performance playing as a cohesive unit throughout the match. The players followed the game plan to perfection, supporting one another, both offensively and defensively. A standout performance came from our goalkeeper, Emma Moyle, whose crucial saves and composure under pressure kept the opposition at bay and Ruby Larcombe, who stood up as Captain and gave it her all. Their confidence and skill were pivotal in the team's success. Overall, the girls demonstrated excellent teamwork, discipline and dedication, leaving our school proud and excited for the rest of the season. Bring on regionals!

Year 7 Boys

Our Year 7 boys, led by wonderful head coach, Tommy Quirk and Captain Aarav Bhatia, took on the best in the Campaspe region. Two wins, a draw and a tough loss, meant that they didn't qualify for the next stage, however everyone had a wonderful experience on the day. The team came together and played with terrific spirit and energy and it was a pleasure watch.

Year 8 Girls

Our Year 8 girls had a cracker day! Captained by the birthday girl, Michala Keele, the goals were flying in! Scorers included -  Mila Palmer, Charlie Haw, Abbey McCarty and Milla Ryan. Also, a sneaky hat trick during game 2 by Jordie, who was a force up front all day. Our backline was solid when needed, held strong by Sadie Jones, Michala Keele and Bella Nathan. A shout-out to our goal keeper, Ava Braybon, who had a clean sheet for the day.

Year 8 Boys

Our Year 8 boys put on a stellar performance, showcasing skill, teamwork and resilience. They dominated the group stage with impressive wins, defeating their opponents 3-0 and 5-1, to secure a spot in the final. The final match was intense! Oaklei Luke made a perfectly timed tackle that denied the opposition a clear scoring chance, Taj Maddox’s heroic penalty save kept the game level, and in the dying seconds, Cody Pike stepped up under pressure to convert a penalty, sealing the 1-0 victory just as the final whistle blew! A fantastic effort from the entire team! Oliver Spring finished with 5 goals, Ryder Colless 2 while Cody Pike and Shewan Silva both scored one each.
