REACH (Year 10)
Thank you to our Year 10 students for their involvement, vulnerability and willingness to participate in the Reach workshops. Our hope following these workshops is to spark some positive changes within our school community.
The Reach Foundation and their friends at ReachOut have worked closely to curate some online lessons, tools and tips to support you following your Reach experience. Below are some ReachOut resources for parents that we think are particularly relevant after your Peer Dynamics workshop (ReachOut requires you to create a free account to access these resources).

SEEN the Film
Thank you to all the amazing parents and community members who joined us for the special screening of the Seen Documentary last week.
The thought-provoking film beautifully explores themes of love, connection, vulnerability and bravery - showing how parents who are prepared to do things differently and are willing to understand their own childhood experiences, can create stronger and healthier families.
Most importantly, it reminded us all that in order to give our children the unconditional love they deserve, we must first learn to love ourselves.
Thank you also to our Student Leaders for assisting on the night!
The Resilience Project
This week our Year 7 - 12 students participated in the Student Resilience Survey. It is an anonymous online survey which collects, analyses and reports the resilience of young people in Australia. It incorporates six international gold standard measures of mental health: life satisfaction, hope, coping, anxiety, depression and connection to nature. Specifically, the survey reports against nine domains of resilience: Positive Relationships, Social Skills, Understanding Self, Safety, Healthy Mind and Healthy Body, Learning Engagement, Positive Attitude, Positive Values, Positive Contribution.
The Student Resilience Survey has been administered to more than 900,000 young people aged between 7–19 across 3,500 schools globally. The results provide a foundation for planning and implementing targeted resilience-building initiatives at your school.
Thank you to our Learning Mentors for supporting our students throughout this process.
Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness (GEM)
GEM Chats consist of 2-5 minute activities that students can do individually or as a whole group at different points throughout the day.

This month on SchoolTV - Cybersafety
Young people today are growing up in an increasingly connected world where technology is part of their everyday lives for learning, socialising and entertainment. While the digital world offers enormous benefits, it also comes with serious risks. From cyberbullying and online predators to inappropriate content and screen time concerns, navigating the online environment can be challenging for young people and their families.
Cybersafety is not just about blocking access – it's about empowering young people with the knowledge and skills they need to use technology responsibly and safely. This includes understanding privacy settings, recognising scams, and developing healthy digital habits. At the same time, it's important for parents and caregivers to stay informed, have open and judgement-free conversations with their children, and lead by example through positive online behaviour.
In today's digital age, safeguarding a child's wellbeing must also include protecting their online life. This edition of SchoolTV will help you better understand the digital landscape your child is navigating and offer practical strategies to help them stay safe, confident and in control online.
