New books
Kildare Campus Library has a brand new display of newly released fiction. All the books on display are ready for loan and feature latest releases from renowned authors. Each month the Library will receive a new selection of secondary fiction especially curated for Years 7-9. Details of each of the titles, including the cover and a summary of content, is available as a resource to allow students to select and reserve titles even if the books are on loan. Reserves can be made on students’ laptops by going to Compass>Favourites > Library Catalogue.
Sora
The collection of new books ready for loan and the print Library collection is complemented by ebooks, e-audiobooks, graphic novels and magazines available on Sora. Sora is the student reading app available to all students on their laptop by going to Compass>Favourites>Library catalogue>Reading Room Board>Sora. Follow the instructions to borrow and open books with one tap to read anywhere at any time, adjust font size and page colour to be more readable and access collections. The app can also be downloaded free through the app store.

2025 Premiers’ Reading Challenge
Stay tuned for news of participation of our Kildare Campus students in the annual Premiers’ Reading Challenge in Term 2. The Premiers’ Reading Challenge encourages our students to read a set number of books over the year and record their efforts online. 2025 Children’s Book Week
The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) annual Children’s Book Week celebrates its 80th year of Children’s Book Week in 2025. This year Children’s Book Week will be held 16-23 August and will be marked by a week of celebrations on Kildare Campus. The 2025 theme is “Book an Adventure!”.
