Family and Faith

I hope that as we are mid-way through Lent that many families have had a chance to use the flyer sent home earlier to support this special journey. As a family we can unite in working on gratitude and peace in our households, say prayers for those in need and give alms for those less fortunate. 

Remember we have Grade and Community Masses everyone can attend or ypu are all  welcome to come along to the Lenten group on a Thursday afternoon between 2-3 pm. Lent is a time of renewal for us all and an opportunity to grow closer to God. 

Parent Events in Term 1, 2025

The Sutherland Shire Network of Family Educators would like to invite you to Reflect & Renew at Stations of the Cross on Friday 4th April at 11am at Woronora Memorial Park to share our Lenten journey as one community.

We would love to see as many of our parents and friends at these events as possible and kindly ask you to RSVP.

A reminder of some of the family and faith activities for you to engage with during Term 1, 2025:

• SPaR - Stop, Pray and Reflect held in the Church with each year group, Year 2 Tuesday 1st April at 2pm, Year 3 Tuesday 8th April at 2pm.
• Lenten Prayer Group- Every Thursday at 2pm Lower Parish Centre, all welcome.
• PLAYGROUP- Every Friday at 9:20 am in the Lower Parish Centre, all welcome

SPaR in the Church with Year 1

Last week some parents and carers and the students from Year 1 gathered in the church to stop, pray, and reflect. Students and parents were able to spend some time pondering the wonder of God, his home and our place in it. We are part of God’s family and are all  welcomed into his home to spend time with him.
