We’re excited to offer two informative and practical sessions for parents of students in Transition, Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3! These events are designed to help you understand our approach to literacy and numeracy, and how you can support your child’s learning journey at home.

Learn how we teach reading, writing, and creativity in the lower primary of Steiner education.

Discover how we make math come alive for our Lower Primary students and support problem-solving skills.

Child supervision provided, so you can stay after school.
Afternoon tea (fruit) provided! These events are a great opportunity to connect with teachers, ask questions, and get practical strategies for supporting your child’s development in school. We hope to see you there!
Parent Workshops with Melanie Deefholts: We are delighted to welcome Melanie Deefholts, who will be delivering two parent workshops: Social Understanding and Healthy Relationships with Self and Others, as well as Developmental Milestones Throughout Primary School. These workshops will provide valuable insights for parents and caregivers on supporting their children’s social and emotional growth. These workshops will be 5:30pm Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd April.
Join us for a hands-on, practical workshop open to students, families and the Alice Springs community!
What You’ll Learn:
✅ How to get started with chickens: choosing breeds, understanding their needs
✅ Hatching eggs & raising baby chicks
✅ Designing & building a chicken coop (materials, equipment & must-haves)
✅ Feeding & caring for a healthy flock
✅ Common poultry diseases, cures & prevention
✅ Local laws & regulations for keeping chickens
Hands-On Activities:
🔨 Coop-building demonstration & design session
🐣 Interactive care techniques for baby chicks
❓ Q&A session with experienced chicken keepers
This workshop is ideal for families, and anyone interested in sustainable living and backyard farming.
Looking for fresh, local produce? Come by our stall every Wednesday from 2:40-3:30pm and grab the best of the season’s harvest! We will have some fresh veggies this week – all grown with love right from our farm.
PLUS, we’re serving up delicious homemade icy poles to keep you cool after school!
