ROAD SAFETY

Double demerits Periods

We advise our families that double demerits are in place in NSW and ACT for five consecutive days (17-21 April) over the 2025 Easter long weekend and four consecutive days (24-27 April) over the ANZAC day long weekend.

Double demerit periods typically fall during holiday periods or over long weekends and are enforced by police. They apply throughout the whole of the start date, and end at midnight on the finish date.

Please drive safely and take extra care on the roads to protect yourself, your loved ones and all road users.

School crossing supervisor

The School Crossing Supervisor program runs across the state and contributes to the safety of infants and primary school students. School crossing supervisors are employed by the NSW Government to help students use the crossings on roads near schools. Here at St Nicholas School we are lucky enough to have the wonderful Shereene who is passionate and dedicated to have our children arrive safely to and from school. We would like to thank Shereene for all her hard work rain, hail, or shine.
