Principal's Message

 Dear Parents/Carers,

THANKYOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS

We have come to the end of a very busy term. It seems to have flown by but there was so much achieved in that time.

The Warrnambool Primary Parents Association were very active in supporting fund raising events and activities for us to enjoy at school.

Consider the following events which were not only fun but have raised money to be put towards our grounds improvement priorities.

Zooper Dooper Days, House Athletics Canteen, Easter Raffle, Hot Cross Bun Drive, Sausage Sizzle and Dance/School Picnic.

They have some great activities lined up for Term 2 so please continue to support them in their efforts once again. Without the donations of time and money from our parent group these events wouldn’t proceed so thank you to everyone for assisting.

I would also like to thank the School Council for joining or continuing to join in activities across the school.

I hope you have a fantastic Easter break and get an opportunity to spend some quality time with your family and friends.

EASTER RAFFLE WINNERS

Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket and donated items for the raffle. The 20 prizes were drawn at assembly on Monday. A big thank you to everyone who donated and also to Saputo for donating the first prize, a cheese hamper worth over $200.

YEAR 5 AND 6 HOCKEY TEAMS

The girls first hockey game was against Warrnambool East Primary and the scores were 3-0, sadley we lost. Our second game was against Our Lady's and it was a tie 1-1. Then we had a bye for an hour and practised lots. Our third game was against St.Pius adn it was 0-0. Finally our last game was against St Josephs and we won! Amelia and Amaya scored 2 goals to win. In the end Warrnambool East won overall but we had heaps of fun and we all played fairly.

The boys hockey team started with a strong start scoring 3 goals against St Josephs. The second game was against Warrnambool East which was a very tough game. In the end Warrnambool East scored a goal and won. In the third game we played St Pius, the game was very exciting with Sandin Hewage scoring 2 great goals which made the boys win 2-0. The fourth games was against Our Lady's which was also a tough game.

A big thank you to Mrs Cherine Owen for coordinating the teams and Mr Jarryd Lewis for his coaching skills on the day.
