Statement from the PMSA Board Chair

Please see below a statement from the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) Board Chair regarding the resignation of the PMSA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Shane Coppin.

To our PMSA school communities,

Shane Coppin has written to inform me that he will leave the PMSA after serving three years as its CEO.

On behalf of the Board, I would like to express our gratitude to Shane for his service to PMSA during the course of his tenure, and for his dedication to the development of our ambitious 20-year Strategic Vision ‘One journey, together 2024 - 2044’.

Commencing in the role in 2021, Shane has worked to build on the achievements of those who have gone before him, working collaboratively to take the PMSA and our four schools to greater heights.

Shane leaves the organisation having made critical changes to its strategy, structure and organisation that position it strongly for success. This work will continue, and we thank Shane for his leadership and contribution.

Mr Alan Swanson has been appointed as Acting CEO. Alan has served in the role of Executive Director - Finance and Corporate Services for the PMSA since August 2022.

Yours faithfully

Ms Julia Collia de Polacek

on behalf of Mr Wayne Knapp
