Book week: Reading is Magic
Book Week Dress up day
From Dr. Seuss to Willy Wonka, Grug to Harry Potter, there were a plethora of costumes today representing a multitude of book titles and characters. What a fabulous representation of everybody's favourites!!!!
Book week dress up day helped raise funds for the children of rural Uganda through the World Literacy Foundation. Students brought a gold coin donation with their dress ups raising a total of $260.70.
Competitions
Book week was filled with competitions this year we had:
Book in a Jar:
Students and staff needed to guess the book that had been shredded into a Jar.
Winner/s will be announced on Monday.
AI Magic Teacher Mashup:
Students were had to guess all the new staff members (each new staff member was 2 current staff members mashed together into one picture).
Winner/s will be announced on Monday.
Black out Poetry:
Students were given a page from a book in which they had to create a poem by blacking out words that were not used.
Our winners are:
1st Place – Alana Stewart – Year 8 (Like minds)

3rd Place – Flynn Polley – Year 11

Poetry Competition:
Students had to write a poem as creatively as they could.

For book week this year our leadership team provided the community with an insight into their favourite book.
