Year 2 Craft Power Incursion – We Nailed It!

On Monday 12th August, the Year 2’s participated in a fun incursion called CraftPower. This incursion provided students an opportunity to create using wood, hammers and nails. Each child made their own mini billycart with the guidance from the amazing Anatoli. The students loved the experience of building their own toy, however, using a hammer proved to be quite a challenge for some.

What is the bounciest surface?

Sports Science - CBL

While our Aussie athletes have been competing in Paris, RNPS students have been exploring how science is used to enhance sport. This week students across the school experimented by bouncing balls to test the bounciness of different ground surfaces. They dropped the ball from a designated height and recorded how high it bounced off each surface. They predicted, recorded results and then contemplated how each surface influenced the sports that were played on it.

Special Achievement

On Sunday 11th August Parker, Jagger, Finley and Luca were lucky enough to represent the North Ringwood Junior Football club in the Grand final for under 11C division.  They were faced with playing an equally strong opposition.  Although they didn't come away with the win, it's important to celebrate the achievement of getting to a Grand Final and the hard work and dedication that goes into the season.  Well done boys!
