What are the student leaders working on at the moment . . .
JSC Out of Uniform Day Project - headed by Linda, Pearl and Zoe
On Wednesday 4 September, the JSC held an out of school uniform day to support the opening of the second-hand uniform shop. We were thrilled with the generosity from our school community. There were 67 items of clothing donated and a whopping 533 items of food donated. That’s a total of 600 donated items!
The results for the class with the most donations were:
- 3rd place with 76 donations was 1/2C
- 2nd place with 79 donations was 5/6A
- 1st place with an outstanding 98 donations was 4/5A
Well done to 4/5A with an astounding amount of donations. Each student from 4/5A received a Focus on the Good Card and their learning space is now the new home of Cam the Cat!
Once again thank you all for your support and generosity towards our second-hand shop and for supporting Foodbank and people in need.
Gardening Leaders' Working Bee - Friday 13 September
Thank you to all the students and families who supported our Working Bee on Friday 13 September. I am sure you agree that a huge amount of work was completed in a very short time and the gardens are looking a lot more healthy than previously now the weeds have been removed and the garden beds have been topped up with mulch.
Cyber, Gardening and JSC Joint Leaders' Meeting - Friday 13 September
Once a term we hold a joint meeting with our student leaders to review our efforts for the term. We celebrate the things we have done well as a team, the things which have been positives across the school and things we think we can improve in the next term. The JSC collect data from our P-6 students about things they are enjoying and things we can do to improve our school. Some of our best ideas have come from student suggestions from across the school and not just the student leaders.
Well done to ALL the student leaders on your phenomenal work this term. Kristian, Hannah, Shona and I can't wait to work with you all again in term 4!
