Religion at St Joseph’s in Term 3

Junior Unit

In the Foundation/Grade 1 classroom students have just started the unit 'Our Special Book'. In this unit students are exploring the importance of the bible and will learn about stories within. 

In the Grade 2 classroom the students participated in a Godly Play of the Last Supper. Godly Play’s are a way for students to make meaning through story, wonder, and play. 

Middle Unit

Across the 3/4 classrooms one of their units this term has been Reaching Out and Serving Others. The students identified and made connections with Jesus' stories of how he served others to their personal lives within our community, our world and also school.

Senior Unit

Across the senior classrooms students have been using technology to create a poster showcasing their knowledge of the Beatitudes in the Living as Disciples unit.  Students have been focusing on our mission to respond to God’s love for us and all creation with the love and compassion of Jesus who said, “Learn from me for I am gentle and humble of heart.”
