Year 9 News

Year 9 students are in the process of making their subject selections, with the Web Preferences closing next week.  It’s important to take a thoughtful approach as the choices made now can shape your academic journey and future opportunities.

A subject that challenges you is essential for developing critical thinking skills and preparing for the demands of further education and career paths.

Equally important is choosing subjects that ignite a passion for learning. Personal interest in a subject can lead to higher engagement, better performance, and a more enjoyable educational experience. When students are interested in what they are studying, they are more likely to invest time and effort, leading to better outcomes.

To assist in making informed decisions, we have provided subject selection handbooks available on the school website. These handbooks contain detailed information on each subject offered, including course content and assessment formats. We strongly encourage both students and parents to review these resources carefully.

Choosing the right subjects is a critical step in your educational journey. We encourage you to take the time to consider your options carefully and make decisions that will set you up for a successful Year 10.
