Fathers Day brekky - what a great morning!
It was terrific to see so many dads, granddads and kids at school last Friday morning for our Fathers Day brekky. The PFA served up more than 125 hot breakfasts to the dads and about the same number of sausages to the kids, and Raf's coffee kept everyone warm too. A big thank you to all the cheerful volunteers who lent a hand to make the event run smoothly, especially Adam on the BBQ and Krista who provided the decorations. We love you, dads of WPS!
Parent Trivia/Disco - tomorrow!
If you have tickets for tomorrow’s Trivia/disco, a reminder that doors are at 7 pm for a prompt 7.30 pm start. Please add your song request to the playlist.
Don’t forget to bring food/platters (no BYO drinks), some change for the raffle and there are prizes galore up for grabs on the night, including best dressed!
If you can no longer make it, please ask around your friends/classes as these tickets are in demand and hot property 😅.
So make sure you’ve got your thinking caps, dancing shoes and sparkles ✨ ready to go and we’ll see you Friday at the bowls club!
Fundraising outcome
The PFA exists to support our school - both socially (Mothers Day Morning Tea, Fathers Day Brekky, various discos/film nights, etc.) and financially (through fundraisers like cake stalls, bulb drives, Mango drive, barbeques, etc.).
We’re often asked “What does the money raised by the PFA go towards?”. We’re pleased to be able to report that the PFA will contribute to the cost of construction of the new rotunda on the school oval. It’s already proved to be a popular spot for kids to gather and play!
