Prep

The Rainbow Fish painting, cutting and gluing art works are inspired by Book Week and Marcus Pfister’s book of the same name.

Year 1

These animal are inspired by the illustrations of Bronwyn Bancroft in paint and black fineliner.

Year 5

Students have been learning about shadows in science. To strengthen cross curriculum links we explored artwork from Vincent Bal. Vincent Bal is a Shadowologist who uses his imagination to turn shadows into art. By using shadows of  everyday objects he is able to create original, quirky and sometimes silly images.

Year 6

Students have been practising their drawing and shading skills in out Still Life classes. For this lesson students picked an item on their table to sketch. We focused on proportion, value and form in our drawings to make them look realistic. Students had the option of using charcoal, pencils and soft pastels.
