On Thursday 15th August we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption. This is a holy day of obligation marking the occasion of the Virgin Mary’s bodily ascent to heaven at the end of her life. Assumption Day commemorates the belief that when Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, died, her body was "assumed" into heaven to be reunited with her soul, instead of going through the natural process of physical decay upon death.

This coming weekend some of our students in Year 3 will continue their journey of preparation for their sacraments of  Eucharist and Confirmation. The 3rd Dismissal Mass will take place this weekend before the Celebration Masses the week following. If you do not receive a Note for Parents and Sponsors that will be sent home with your child, please collect one at the school office.
