Focus on Learning Kindergarten

100 Days of Learning 

This term Kindergarten celebrated their 100 days of learning. Children have enjoyed learning how to count, read and write in their 100 days at school, as well as making many fantastic friends and memories. 

Writing 

Children have been listening to the short novel, Fantastic Mr Fox written by Roald Dahl. While listening to the story children used their imagination and the descriptions Roald Dahl had used to describe the characters and the setting of the story. With their imaginations children wrote about Fantastic Mr Fox and his den and Boggis' Chicken House.

Maths

In our Maths we have been learning about Mass, looking at heavy and light objects. We used an equal arm balance to help determine if an item was heavier or lighter.  We then discussed object that would be heavier or lighter than ourselves.
