Happy 60th birthdays, Tony and Rob
FN Murray Bridge (SA) co-principal, Tony Presepio recently celebrated his 60th birthday in style at The Lane Vineyard. Hot on his heels was FN Collie & Tierney (Mildura, VIC) principal, Robert Stephens, who also just celebrated his 60th with family and friends.

Back from Elite Retreat at Hayman Island
FN Murray Bridge’s (SA) Jack Freestone enjoyed his attendance of Elite Agent’s Elite Retreat, thanks to First National Real Estate and his winning of the David Nitschke Scholarship at our recent Kuala Lumpur Convention.
Jack told Our Fabric that the main take-away from the event was the question, 'What is your genius move?'
'We need a "genius move" to set us apart from our competitors. This phrase was a bit of a theme throughout the conference and got people talking,' says Jack.
'Another one was Gavin Rubinstein who said frequency builds trust.'
Jack joined industry leaders as they explored the latest trends and opportunities in real estate, while enjoying the charms of one of the Whitsunday’s most famous resorts.
Narrow escape from Hunter Valley earthquake
FN Edwards Higgens Parkinson (Muswellbrook, NSW) staff were fortunate to escape serious injury when last week’s earthquakes brought down their office’s chimney, which tumbled into the side lane.
Two earthquakes struck, the first measuring magnitude 4.7 on Friday 23 August, then a second measuring 4.5 on Saturday 24 August. Seismologists say they anticipate aftershocks to continue potentially for months.
Newcastle EOFY catch up
Newcastle Zone (NSW) members got together recently for their traditional End of Financial Year catch up. This a great example of how First National members take time to connect, professionally and personally, and it really shows how close we are. NSW BGM, Amy Bruce says ‘the laughter was loud, camaraderie strong, and everybody had a great time’.
Homeless conference delegates surprised that agents do care
Alexandra Haggarty of FN Maitland (NSW) winged her way to Adelaide for the Australian Homelessness Conference (AHC), hosted by the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute.
Although well-known for her significant efforts in support of housing domestic violence victims, AHC delegates were surprised to see a real estate agent in their midst. Nonetheless, they were deeply engaged by her presence and perspectives.
Bendigo staff visit National Support Office
The FN TSFN (Bendigo, VIC) marketing department visited National Support Office and software alliance partner, Zenu, for a day of insightful training and networking recently.

Cool Britannia for Kim Henley
The sartorially elegant Kim Henley of FN Burton Groves (Tea Tree Gully, SA) has been spotted, braving the wet and cold, while visiting friends and family in the UK.
Meanwhile back home in Australia, her daughter Tenille has just graduated at Qantas and will soon be flying again, after three intense months away from her girls.
Hands together for team Swansea
NSW Business Growth Manager (BGM) Amy Bruce said it was ‘hands together for the lovely ladies at FN Andrew McGrath (Swansea, NSW). They kindly allowed me to take a photo even though they really preferred I didn’t. Lovely to see you today!’ said Amy.
Catching up with FN Connect
NSW BGM, Sarah Barton, caught up with Darren and the amazing team at FN Connect in Rouse Hill (NSW). The Connect team opened this as the third office in their group in December 2023, cementing the strong trajectory of growth they're on.
Of course, it's good to know that as an affirmation of First National's culture, there are no National Fees for a third office!
Darren gave Sarah a tour of the new office and demonstrated how Airtable has streamlined their workflows.
