Recycling - Bread Tags.

For several years, Caulfield Junior College has been collecting ‘bread tags’ (the plastic clips used for closing bread bags) and recycling them through a charity that raises funds to provide wheelchairs for people in South Africa. We recently sent off a large parcel containing over 5000 bread tags!

The recycling program is now coming to an end, so any plastic bread tags you have been collecting at home must be brought to school before the end of July. Please bring them to Mme Wilson in the STEM room or leave them at the office.

Cardboard bread tags can be recycled in your household recycling by placing them in a used envelope or paper bag (they can’t be loose as they jam up the sorting machines in the recycling centre).
