Foundation
Have you ever seen a Potato Cake cake? Well this week we did! Would you believe that a student in Foundation (Lucas), whose parents own a fish and chipper in downtown Preston South, celebrated his birthday on the last day of term....with a potato cake cake!
Maddy, Marty and Palwasha wanted to celebrate the wonderful term's learning that has taken place in the Foundation room this term, so we packed up the balnkets and headed out for a picnic! Thanks to all the wonderful parents who support us and their children as they continue to grow as learners and people at Sacred Heart. We wish them a very relaxed and well earned break!
Congartulations to Rayleen, Garce and Syon for receiving their well earned certificated at this week's assembly. They have made great progress in Term 2 and truly deserved their recognition. Well Done!

Year 2
Hello Families,
WOW! We're at the end of another Term of fun teaching learning memories. We ended the our time with finishing up our Inquiry projects - learning about recycling, reusing, reducing materials. We enjoyed our assembly and second Talent Show with Yichen performing.
We dedicate our Good Byes to Jaimee who leaves the Year 2 family to start in her new school after the break. Jaimee is a wonderful example of kindness and dedication to being the best she can be. We wish you well and look forward to when you can come back and visit us. To our families, have a fabulous, fun filled holiday break and we can't wait to hear about your family adventures.

What fun things have happened around the school?
Valentino 'World Cup lunch day'
Liberty 'the gardening club'
Liam 'playing games in PE'
We finished the final week by publishing some writing pieces, eating our lunch in the sun and enjoying a look at the Police highway patrol car.

See you in Term 3
Year 5/6J and Year 5/6M
On Tuesday this week, Constable Robbie from the Preston Poilce Station came to Sacred Heart to deliver the AFP’s cyber safety "Think U Know" presentation. Students listened to how important it is to be safe on line and all about the ‘red flags’ to look out for, hoping to ensure they behave responsibly when they use digital technologies and online services.
After lots of great discussions and questions, everyone headed outside to chat with Constable Steve and Constable Rob from the Highway Patrol Unit. Students here had the opportunity to listen and find out what the Highway Patrol Unit actually do and how they repond when they are on our roads. Students were also able to explore the patrol vehicle and ask more questions.
Kaone: The police visit was really exciting. It was interesting and fun to know how the policemen work on telling us about Cybersafety. I really loved looking at the Highway Patrol Car and seeing what was inside the car and hearing the sirens and seeing the red lights flash.
Nirav: It was wonderful to learn more about the police function and work in the background doing much more than catching the bad guys.
Arvin: I thought that the visit by the police was great and I learnt a lot of things about being safe online. The Highway Patrol Car had super loud sirens.
Shamus: It was interesting how Constable Robbie explained all about the red flags when it comes to Cybersafety.
Benjermen: Constable Robbie was teaching us about Cybersafety and how not to share your personal stuff to anyone online.
Natalie: When we saw the Highway Patrol Car, I was amazed at how many things were inside the car, like a fridge for collecting DNA and a camera at the front of the car to record the surroundings.
Milad: I enjoyed seeing the police car and when the sirens came on as well as the red lights.
Kiaiden: I enjoyed how the police explained all about Cybersafety and how they showed and told us about their cool Highway Patrol Car.
