Deputy Principal

Dear Sacred Heart Community,
One of the things I love about this community is that each afternoon, parents, guardians, grandparents, aunties etc take time to spend getting to know each other better, whilst their child/grandchild has a play on the adventure playground. It speaks a lot to the closeness of this community and is one of its many strengths. There may be politicians out there spouting about the culture of this place, but from my point of view this place looks pretty good to me!
Sacred Heart's Got Talent Part 2!
These students have sooooo much talent that we had to have 2 shows, the second of which took place last Friday as we farewelled the term. And what a show it was!!
Singers, dancers, violoinists, pianists and LEGO MASTERS all came together to give us the send off we all deserved and entertained us with their talents! And we just thought they could read, write and do sums!! Well done everyone who was involved. Can't wait for next year!
Parade Soccer Group has its own World Cup!
A big thankyou to these magnificent men (pictured below) for another term of football playing each Wednesday @ Parade College. They enjoy each others company and are a great group to take over and watch them run around and have a break. See you next term!
LSO Legends
A group of people who work at Sacred Heart deserve the highest recognition from its community ~ our Learning Support Officers. Yes they are LSO's, but they are also teachers, mums, dads, friends to the students in their care and a MASSIVE support to the teachers at our school. Next term I will highlight our wonderful LSO's through this newsletter and give you more of an insight into their passion, enthusiasm and drive that helps make our school better every day. Today I salute Tina, our Year 1 LSO who works with Terri and the students who are given extra support. Tina is an amazing teacher, full of love and care and concern for every child in that class. Small groups with Reading, Writing and Maths are just some of the responsibilities Tina performs so capably. You are an inspiration and an integral part of our staff, Tina. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks for your thoughts, prayers and love as we farewell what has been a challenging term. I hope your children get a chance to rest, take some time out and recharge the batteries in preparation for Term Three.
Have a great holiday everyone!
Regards,
Marty Fitzpatrick
