Multimedia - Year 11 Magazines

This term, our Year 11 multimedia students have absolutely excelled in producing their own short magazines on topics they’re passionate about, demonstrating remarkable creativity and the ability to learn new skills in a short period. Using Adobe Photoshop, they mastered photo editing techniques like layers, masks, retouching, and compositing to create polished visuals then transitioned to InDesign to layout multi‑page spreads with grids, master pages, styles, and print‑ready exports. It’s truly impressive to see how quickly they’ve grown technically and artistically, and we’re eagerly looking forward to the amazing things they’ll create next term as they prepare for their HSC.

Hospitality

It’s been a busy and rewarding term for our senior Hospitality students, with both Year 11 and Year 12 gaining valuable experience and skills in the kitchen and beyond. Year 11 students are now preparing to head out on their first work placements, where they’ll have the opportunity to put their classroom learning into practice in real-world hospitality environments. This marks an exciting milestone as they begin exploring career pathways and refining their customer service and food preparation skills.

Meanwhile, Year 12 students have successfully completed their work placements and returned with fresh insights and greater confidence. They've brought this energy back into the classroom, contributing to a vibrant and productive term. Their hard work and professionalism have been noted by staff and employers alike, reflecting their growth and dedication to the course.

In addition to placement achievements, Year 12 have been busy preparing delicious meals and beverages for school staff, showcasing their culinary talents with dishes like focaccia sandwiches, fresh pasta, gourmet pizzas, and expertly made coffees. Their creativity and attention to detail have been a highlight of the term, bringing a taste of café culture to our school community. We’re proud of all our Hospitality students and look forward to seeing what they cook up next!
