HSIE

Our students are engaging with a rich and varied curriculum across all year levels:
Year 7 History is exploring ancient China and Egypt, with a strong focus on source analysis and historical writing skills like interpreting primary vs secondary sources and applying the “6 C’s” framework to craft evidence-based responses.
Year 8 Geography students are designing informative infographics on global landscapes, landforms, human–environment interactions, and sustainability, developing both creative and analytical skills.
Year 9 History delves into migration, Australia at war, and key historical investigations, strengthening students’ analytical thinking and argumentative writing.
Year 10 History focuses on Changing Rights and Freedoms where students examine major movements and refine their abilities to construct well-supported, historically reasoned arguments.
Stage 6 (Year 11 & 12) students are fully immersed in senior studies, Business, Legal Studies, Modern History, and Studies of Religion, which challenge them to engage with complex economic, legal, historical, and cultural issues and hone their critical thinking skills.
Thank you for your continued support in enriching our students’ educational journeys!
