R U OK? Day

This year, R U OK? Day took place on Thursday, September 11th. This is a National Day of Action that encourages people to stay connected and have meaningful conversations to support others during challenging times.

The purpose of R U OK? Day is to foster a world where everyone feels connected. It emphasizes empowering students to become independent and self-regulated learners, which supports their overall wellbeing. This is done by encouraging students to listen to their friends, show care, and know when to reach out to a trusted adult or teacher if they are concerned about someone.

The goal is to build confidence in decision-making and problem-solving by equipping students with the motivation and skills to ask for help and check in with others by asking, “R U OK?”
