AGTV GERMAN POETRY COMPETITION REGIONAL FINAL

Last Wednesday, 23rd July ten Level 4 – 6 students from Rangeview PS participated in the annual AGTV German Poetry Competition Regional Final. The regional final was held at Mullauna Secondary College and involved German students from Years 4 – 9 from the Knox Metro Network.

 

Students recited their poems in front of two judges and were judged according to their pronunciation, intonation, dictation, and the overall delivery and interpretation of their poem. All our students did an excellent job in learning and reciting their poems. It gives us great pleasure to announce the results of the competition:

 

Grade 4: 1st - Zoe (4J)

                  2nd  - Isabelle (4J)

                  3rd - Machaela (4J)

 

Grade 5: 1st - Annika (5V) Open Category

                  1st - Myra (5V)

                  2nd - Ryan (5G)

                  3rd - Tessa (5V)

 

Grade 6:  1st - Suhani (6A) 

                   2nd - Bavjot (5/6C)

                   3rd - Alysha (6G)

 

Students from year 5 – 9 who were awarded a first or second place at the regional final are now invited to take part in the state final, held at the Austrian Club in Heidelberg in October. All students involved in the competition received a medal, certificate and prizes. 

 

Thank you to our wonderful Language Assistant, Frau Myriam Gad, for preparing the students for the competition and to Frau Marika Ferguson for attending the regional final.

 

Congratulations to all our poetry students! We are very proud of you! Gut gemacht! (Well done!)
