Year 11

'Small Steps, Big Results'

Exam Success

Students were tested during the recent exam period and should be commended for the effort they put into their studies. These exams are excellent preparation for year 12 and are crucial for helping students practise completing assessments under formal exam conditions.

Work Experience

For our year 11 VCE-VM students, work experience has proven to be a great success. We thank the Careers team and the families of students who supported our year 11s in the successful completion of their placements. By all reports, students were engaged in their workplaces and demonstrated outstanding professionalism and maturity.

Green Chronicles

A reminder that students can cash in their Green Chronicles points for amazing rewards. Students should check Compass to see how many points they have accumulated!

Uniform

Whilst the vast majority of students look terrific in their uniforms, we have noticed a decline in uniform standards, resulting in an increase in uniform infringements. As such, we will be conducting random uniform blitzes to ensure our year 11s are back on track and wearing their uniforms with pride. If a student is unable to wear the correct uniform for any reason, a signed note from a parent or carer must be provided and presented to their homegroup teacher. Wearing the uniform correctly reflects school pride and maintains the high standards we expect from our year 11 students.

NBA Rising Stars Invitational in Singapore

A massive congratulations to our year 11 students selected to play in Singapore at the NBA Rising Stars Invitational! Please congratulate these amazing students who represented Berwick College on the international stage. Feel free to view their journey via the Berwick College Basketball Academy’s Instagram.

End of Term 2

This has been a massive term for our year 11s:

  • Debutante Ball: A night to remember! Students danced, laughed, and celebrated with family and friends in a formal setting. It was a testament to the maturity and poise of our Year 11s.

  • Level Up Day: Students engaged in future-focused sessions, building skills for success in senior schooling and beyond.

  • Athletics Carnival: A day of energy, teamwork, and school spirit. It was fantastic to see so many year 11 students participating and cheering each other on.

  • Exams: A useful period where students can realistically see where they are at.

A final reminder: on the last day of term, school will finish at 2:30pm.

We wish all Year 11 students and their families a safe and restful break.
