Year 10

'Prepare today, succeed tomorrow'

It’s been a busy few weeks as Term 2 and Semester 1 comes to an end.

The year 10s got their first experience of what an exam period looks like, and many students took advantage of some extra time at home to study and prepare themselves for what this scenario looks like for the coming years. It was great to see how seriously this was taken and the feedback given by teachers on the return to the classroom will be invaluable in preparation moving forward.

On Monday, 23rd of June, we held our final Pastoral session of the term. Students were given some final reminders about work experience (please check Compass and your emails for further details). The time was also used to reflect on the exam period as well as some timely reminders about being to class on time. We also acknowledged the excellent attendance and positive behaviour from students in Term 1.

Lots of effort has been put into preparing year 10s for their subject selections heading into the final two years of their schooling. It was great to see many engaged students during the presentation in the last week of term about subject selections and the many families who came along to the information evening. We look forward to meeting with you all in the first few weeks of Term 3 to support and guide through the course counselling evenings.
