Grade One / Two

Welcome back to Term 3. We hope you all had a lovely break and have had an opportunity to relax and enjoy some special time with your families.  

Grade 1 & 2 Update: 

Year 1  

• In Literacy: learning about words with ‘bossy e’ and revising short and long vowel sounds. 
• In Numeracy: learning how to describe the duration and sequence of events using years, months, weeks, days and hours and measuring the length of objects using informal units. 

Year 2  

• In Literacy: learning how to make inferences before, during and after reading text to extend their knowledge, practice the spelling words with the digraphs ‘ir, ur, er’ and extending our knowledge of adverbs. 
• In Numeracy: learning how to measure the mass and capacity of objects using informal units. 

Term 3 - Week 1 

• First day of Term 3 – Monday 21st July 
• St Liborius Breakfast Club - Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:15am-8:40am. 
• Whole school Production Rehearsal – Tuesday 22nd July 
• St Liborius Feast Day Liturgy – Wednesday 23rd July. 
• Parent Teacher Conferences – Thursday 24th July @ 12pm-5pm 
• Walk to School – Friday 25th July @ 7:45am from Canterbury Park. 

Term 3 - Week 2 

• St Liborius Breakfast Club - Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:15am-8:40am. 
• St Liborius Feast Day/Grandparents/Special Friend’s Day Mass – Tuesday 29th July. 
• Parent Teacher Conferences – Tuesday 29th July @ 3pm-4:30pm 
• Walk to School – Friday 1st August @ 7:45am from Canterbury Park. 
• Grade 1 and Grade 5 Buddy Mass & Morning Tea - Friday 1st August @ 9:15am
