Things to know

The community members of Launching Place Primary School acknowledge the traditional owners, the Kulin nations, of the land on which we learn and play.
We pay respects to the Aboriginal Elders, past and present, who are our teachers.
We thank them for taking care of children and country for countless generations.
Thank you to all our families who have made voluntary contributions to our school this year for your support and generosity. Parent contributions enable us to provide high quality teaching and learning programs and resources to support your children’s education. Your contributions allow us to provide all classroom stationery and materials , resources for literacy and numeracy (readers and maths equipment), support our specialist programs, and provide whole school activities.
With the extra funding provided with the School Savings Bonus towards uniforms and school activities, we hope that families will consider supporting the school by making a parent contribution. Please remember, you are able to make a payment of any amount at any time through the Compass Payments Centre, or you are welcome to come into the office to pay via EFT or cash. A copy of our parent contribution request is attached for your reference.
Thank you for your continued support.
Family Contact Details
Please contact the office to ensure your family’s contact details are up to date. These can change over time, and having accurate information is essential for staying connected and ensuring we can reach you when needed.
Disco
Last Saturday Parent & Friends held a Disco. Wow what fun they all had. Thank you to the Parents and Friends for all their hard work in making the Disco a huge success.
Lunch Order Day – Every Thursday
A friendly reminder to please ensure your child’s lunch order is sent in a well-labelled bag with the correct money, clearly marked with their name and class.
This helps everything run smoothly and avoids any disappointment when lunch orders are delivered. Thank you for your cooperation!
Safe computer use
LPPS wants to help our students to be empowered when using digital technologies safely and appropriately to reach their personal best and fully equip them to contribute positively to society as happy, healthy young adults. Safe and appropriate use of digital technologies including the internet, apps, computers and tablets provide students with rich opportunities to support learning and development in a range of ways.
When students use their computers at school, access to social media platforms and YouTube is blocked through the statewide settings of the Department of Education who provide our Wi-Fi and internet.
We encourage families to use the eSafety Commissioner's website for information about setting up parental controls and making family agreements:
