Early Act News

The EarlyAct Club have had a very busy few weeks. Once the money was counted from the Great Park Ridge Bake Sale that took place on Open Night, a fabulous $400 was raised. This money has since been donated to the Wheelchairs for Kids organisation to provide a wheelchair for a young person living in the Pacific region who is unable to move around in the normal way. These wheelchairs are life-changing for not just the recipient, who has often spent their life on the ground or being carried around, but for the family too. If you'd like to find out more about Wheelchairs for Kids, you can check them out via the link below:

A couple of weeks ago, the EarlyAct Club hosted their second Big Freeze Day. It was fabulous to see so many teachers and students wearing the blue beanies and socks. $147 was raised for Fight MND through the stomp rocket challenge. What a hit that was, with over 100 students taking on Mr Garvey, Mr Davey, Mr P and Pak Shane to see if they could send their rocket higher than the teacher they were competing against!
Last week, the EarlyAct leaders were invited to the Rotary Club of Rowville-Lysterfield's meeting and dinner. They delivered a presentation to the Rotarians about the projects they had undertaken this year. The positive vibe in the room was incredible as you could see the pride on the Rotarians' faces that these young people were actively working to help make their community a better place.
If you'd like to support EarlyAct in the coming weeks, we are helping Rotary collect single-vision lenses that will be donated to people in need overseas. These can be dropped off at the office or to Miss McClure's classroom (4-15)
